Bending Reality
Bending Reality
I’ve been bending reality since I was in my teens. Trying to catapult myself from the mountains of my youth to my dreams. For years I’ve been caught in the purgatory somewhere in between.
I’ve hiked over mountain peaks to get a glimpse of what my dreams would look like, if only to sneak a peek.
But my dreams were elusive and I spent my life with them in a game of hide and seek.
There were times I could taste them. The liquor of sweet success only to have found they weren’t ready for me yet.
As I’ve aged my dreams have moved from my future to my past. I look for a reconciliation with them as time has moved too fast.
I’ve had too much faith in my tomorrows. As the past streams before me in snapshots of memories I only feel but sorrow.
I’ve taken responsibility for all the mistakes I’ve made. I hope to Dream the dreams again before the memories of them fade.
